That Foo Fighters hiatus might not be that long.
Frontman Dave Grohl says that once the promotion for the Sound City movie and soundtrack are over, they'll get to work. He tells MTV, "We have a plan, we know exactly what's coming next, and I have the music for the next record and we're going to start working on it once we finish doing all this stuff. And we have really awesome, big plans for the next album, and I'm really excited about it."
Grohl adds that while all the band members are performing as part of The Sound City Players, they don't consider these shows real Foos gigs. He explains, "We're Rick Springfield's backing band, we're John Fogerty's backing band. We're not up there playing 'Everlong' every night -- we're just hoping our heroes get up on stage and play."
