Guns N’ Roses leader Axl Rose made a rare TV talk show appearance on Wednesday night when he appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The visit was scheduled to promote the upcoming Las Vegas residency by GNR, who will launch their “Appetite For Democracy” show at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; The band will play 12 shows between October 31 and November 24, and the shows will span the band’s biggest hits from their debut album “Appetite For Destruction” (1987) through to 2008’s “Chinese Democracy.” The running theme of Axl’s visit was about punctuality, with jokes and comments riffing off the fact that the singer has built a reputation for setting his own schedule for starting concerts. Kimmel went for the subject right out of the gate. “You’re right on time. It’s unbelievable,” said the host. “You’re very punctual.” “It’s a miracle,” laughed Rose. The two chatted about the Vegas shows, Axl’s jobs outside of music, last weekend’s appearance at the 26th Annual Bridge School Benefit Concert with Neil Young, and the GNR frontman even answered some fan-submitted questions via twitter. Joining Rose for the appearance was GNR guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, who sat in with the house band throughout the program.
