If you make a New Year's resolution to lose weight, you are not alone, and the odds are stacked against you.
According to a new survey, 72% of people have made a resolution to lose weight in previous years, but 69% failed.
In other words, the success rate is only around 3%.
Still, 70% of those polled said they plan to make the same resolution again for 2014.
According to experts, the keys are to have realistic goals and surround yourself with healthy foods.
Many people break their resolution because they do not see results quickly enough. Seventy percent of those who have failed said they abandoned their resolution by March.
