When popular social-networking site Facebook experienced an outage, one might expect users to be frustrated at the interrupted access.

It was totally unexpected that users would call 911 over the disruption in service that only lasted 19 minutes.

The police department in La Crescenta, California went so far as to reminding its Twitter followers that the Facebook outage was not a law-enforcement issue.

In related news, TheWire.com estimated how much ad revenue Facebook lost during their 19-minute outage.

Based on their average revenue from last quarter, Facebook makes about $22,543 per minute, so the entire outage would have cost approximately $426,607.
