An Iowa City man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated after registering a blood alcohol content higher than what a Breathalyzer could measure.
Levi Carter, 28, first blew a .467 percent reading on the Breathalyzer before the instrument simply read "HI."
The legal limit is .08, and medical experts say the lethal limit is .40-.50 percent.
After allegedly driving 55 mph in a 25 mph zone and crashing his car, a passenger in Carter's vehicle called police, who came to his home.
Police reported that Carter was talking to imaginary people, smelled of alcohol, and could barely stand.
Carter claimed he only drank two beers.
