Maybe Craig Ferguson really was upset with CBS that he was not considered to replace David Letterman.
Ferguson, the ten-year host of "The Late Late Show" announced he will not renew his contract with the network at the end of this year. Watch his announcement below.
"CBS and I are not getting divorced," Ferguson joked. "We are 'consciously uncoupling,' but we'll still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much."
Ferguson took over hosting duties from Craig Kilborn in 2005.
CBS executives had been hinting that the future of "The Late Late Show" was up in the air, but it is unclear whether they knew that Ferguson would leave if he was passed over to replace the departing Letterman.
CBS has not yet named a replacement.
