(Cincinnati) -- A Tri-State lawyer plans to file suit, challenging Ohio's ban on same sex marriages.
Attorney Al Gerhardstein declined to discuss details about the case until a news conference this morning. But he says the lawsuit will seek the right to marry for gay couples in the state.
Gerhardstein is the same attorney who filed on behalf of four couples who were married in other states. A Federal Judge this month ordered the state of Ohio to recognize their unions. But the decision is on hold for others, pending an appeal from the Attorney General.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has said he will continue to defend the gay marriage ban passed overwhelmingly by Ohio voters in 2004.
